Courting Ritual 1 of 6 - Great Crested Grebes

Courting Ritual 1 of 6 - Great Crested Grebes - Nature
Wonderful to watch the courting rituals of Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus). These elegant waterbirds with ornate headplumes tilt their heads mirroring each other. They also have a reed dance where they each dive to the bottom and bring reeds up stretching towards the sky. Photographed at Oxford Island, Lough Neagh, N.ireland.
