Orange Red Sunset, Sky Road, Connemara, Ireland.

Ever changing light at sunset on Ireland's rugged west coast. I took this shot on the Sky Road near Clifden in Connemara. Initially starting with golden tones as the setting sun struggled behind clouds it finally broke cloud-cover just at the horizon. It turned the sky into an orange fireball and radiated warm orange light over the landscape and Atlantic ocean. Once below the horizon the show continued! Red and lilac tones filled the sky and landscape before turning deep purple. Truly spectacular! The fact I was nearly eaten alive by midges during this was a minor inconvenience!
